Free. No ads. Yours.

Ready. Set.
Bismillah.

Umma is the prayer companion that plans your day around the five, gets you to the masjid in time for iqamah, and sends your giving straight to your masjid. Built and owned by a Muslim family that prays with you.

What's inside

Everything a prayer app should do. Then the things none of them do.

Salah Calendarpatent pending

Your calendar with the five already protected. It finds the free gap for each prayer, counts the drive to the masjid, and warns you before a meeting costs you Asr.

Leave Nowpatent pending

A traffic-aware reminder tuned to your masjid's actual iqamah, so you make the first takbir instead of the parking lot. Free for Jumu'ah.

Prayer Modepatent pending

Starts on its own when you begin to pray. With Pro, it keeps count of your rakahs, standing or seated, and quietly flags too few or too many. Your count always governs.

Automatic check-inpatent pending

Walk into a masjid and it's logged, with no tapping. Every place you've prayed glows on your own prayer map. Your masjid only ever sees a count.

Qibla

A smooth, live Qibla with haptics. The Kaaba grows as you line up. Raise the phone for a camera view.

Quran, read and heard

Read with bookmarks and private notes, listen to full professional recitations, and keep listening after you leave the app.

Your masjid's khutbah, live

Travelling or homebound? Hear your sheikh's khutbah as it happens, or explore a masjid before you visit. It keeps you connected; it doesn't replace Jumu'ah, and the app says so.

Owed prayers and fasts

A private ledger of the prayers and fasts you owe, so you don't rely on memory. Settle them at your pace, with full credit, and congratulations when you do.

Stars, not leaderboards

A star in your own night sky for every five-prayer day. Gold stars only when a parent, a teacher, or Jumu'ah at your masjid confers one. Private by default.

At launch: English and Arabic, with full right-to-left layout. More languages to follow.

Free & Pro

The whole app, zero ads.

Pro adds convenience and insight, never access to worship. Prayer times, athan, Qibla, Quran reading, listening and search, tasbeeh, adhkar, Prayer Mode and Learn are always free.

For masjids

Give here. It stays here.

Your community can give every Friday, every time they walk in, or on the last ten nights, set once and automatic. Donations go to the masjid's own Stripe account, and Umma takes no percentage. Claim your page and set your iqamah, Jumu'ah times and events.

Masjid Pro adds live khutbah broadcast, custom thank-yous, events and anonymized insight into your community. Pay what you can.

Not for sale

Your worship is yours.

Umma has no ads on any plan and no data partners. Where you prayed, your journeys, your streaks and your giving belong to you. You choose, item by item, whether each is private, shared with a circle, or public. Masjids receive anonymized counts only. Children's profiles sit under a parent, and a child's activity is visible only to adults the parent approves.

Umma is independently owned and made in Texas. No private-equity owner, no advertising network, no one upstream of you. Read the privacy policy in plain English.

Questions

When does Umma launch?

Soon, InshAllah, on iPhone and Android in the United States first. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the day it's out.

Is the free version really ad-free?

Yes, on every plan, forever. Umma is funded by Pro subscriptions, Masjid Pro, and tips from people who want to support it.

Does my masjid know when I'm there?

No. Check-ins are for you. A masjid sees only how many people came, never who.

Which calculation method does it use?

It picks the usual method for your country at setup. You can change it, your Asr madhhab and your prayer list any time.

Does listening to a khutbah count as Jumu'ah?

No, and the app says so. Live khutbah is for travelers, the homebound, and getting to know a masjid before you visit.

Can my kids use it?

Yes. A parent account holds child profiles, approves who a child can share with, and sees their Quran progress.

Where will it be available?

The United States first, then Saudi Arabia, the UK and Canada. The masjid directory already covers those countries.
